Government to spend to fight down-turn
15-02-2009
The Financial Secretary, John Tsang, says the Hong Kong government won't cut back on spending as it is important to inject money into the economy during downturns. Mr Tsang made the comments at an RTHK forum about the forthcoming Budget. He said spending could drive the economy forward even though this might push the government into the red. He said the government could fall back on its reserves.
